The
legendary high mountain Cimarron River
flows through Cimarroncita for an
open stretch of two miles. This “Dream
Water of the Cimarron” is a fly fisher’s
delight. Cimarroncita. nestles against
and climbs up into the Sangre de Cristo
range of the Southern Rocky Mountains of
northeastern New Mexico at the heart of
the Cimarron Canyon on Highway 64 between
Taos and Raton. This historic ranch retreat
honors the vintage charm of its Old West
roots and preserves the spirit and soul
of the land and its wildlife. With this
program, Cimarroncita opens its private
facilities to fly fishers for three-day
summer camps for men, women and families
featuring programs of instruction and guiding.
