You
all are invited to fish in the First Annual Conejos Superfly. It is a
fishing tournament held on the lower sections of the Conejos River with
2 man teams competing for fun, prizes, and the chance to be 2006
Superfly Champs. Your name will be engraved on the coveted Mayfly
Trophy; in addition will win some valuable merchandise. This whole
thing is still morphing and we are trying to manage the size and keep
it fun but there has been a lot of interest in a short time.
Here are
some of the details:
*2 man teams
*5 to 6 hours of fishing
*1 fisherman fishing at a time
*Points are given for every inch of the best 3 fish and then 2 points for every fish caught and measured thereafter.
*Limited to first 15 teams
*Entry fee $30.00
*No limit to number of flies fished
*Meet at 9:00 at Conejos River Anglers and draw for beats. Start 10:00
*Fishing ends at 3:00 and return to shop for barbecue and crowning the Superfly Champs
*3:30 to? Beverages, food, bonfire and just telling stories.
*Assorted prizes for largest fish, those that might get skunked, etc.
If
you are interested we will be able to help you with lodging and the
guides will be helping out those new to the area with directions to
beats and other fishing help. You will also be fishing against them so
