CIMARRON RIVER: Fishing is fair for brown and
rainbow trout.
CLAYTON LAKE: Fishing is fair for rainbow trout,
catfish and black bass.
COCHITI LAKE: Fishing is fair for white and
black bass as well as an occasional pike. Fishing
pressure is still very light. No reports on other species.
CONCHAS LAKE: Fishing is fair for crappie from
the marina and in the North Island area. Fishing is fair for white
bass on crankbaits. Walleye fishing is slow, with a few fish caught
in 40 feet of water. No reports on other species.
COYOTE CREEK: Fishing is slow-to-fair for rainbow
trout using small spinners, salmon eggs and worms.
EAGLE NEST LAKE: Fishing is good trolling for
rainbow trout as well as from the bank on powerbait. Fishing is
good for perch on worms. Salmon snagging is still slow.
HOPEWELL LAKE: Fishing is slow-to-fair for rainbow
trout.
MONASTERY LAKE: Fishing is fair for rainbow
trout on powerbait, salmon eggs and nightcrawlers.
MORPHY LAKE: Fishing is slow-to-fair for rainbow
trout.
PECOS RIVER: Fishing is fair-to-good for brown
and rainbow trout on small bead head woolly buggers, nightcrawlers
and salmon eggs. Best hours are midday and afternoon.
RED RIVER: Fishing is slow-to-fair for brown
and rainbow trout.
RIO GRANDE: Fishing is fair for rainbow trout
and a few browns. Anglers are also catching an occasional northern
pike.
SPRINGER LAKE: No reports.
STORRIE LAKE: No reports.
STUBBLEFIELD: No reports.
UTE LAKE: Fishing is very good for largemouth
bass in the 4-5 pound class on crankbaits. Fishing is fair for
white bass and smallmouth bass on slab spoons in 15 to 25 feet
of water. Walleye fishing is slow. No reports on other species
NORTHWEST AREA
ABIQUIU LAKE: No reports.
BLUEWATER LAKE: Fishing is fair-to-good for
rainbow trout from the bank, slow for catfish.
CHAMA RIVER: Water flow below El Vado is 250
cfs as of November 8. The water is still murky. Trout fishing
has been fair. Best baits were nightcrawlers and powerbait. Below
Abiquiu, fishing has been fair-to-good for trout in the quality
waters.
EL VADO LAKE: No reports.
FENTON LAKE: Fishing is slow-to-fair for rainbow
and cutthroat trout on powerbait, salmon eggs and nightcrawlers.
HERON LAKE: Fishing is fair for rainbow trout
from the bank on powerbait and various lures. Fishing is slow
for lake trout.
JACKSON LAKE: Fishing is fair-to-good for rainbow
trout.
JEMEZ WATERS: Fishing is fair-to-good for rainbows,
browns and cutthroats on small bead head wooly buggers, nightcrawlers
and salmon eggs.
LAKE FARMINGTON: Fishing is fair-to-good for
rainbow trout.
NAVAJO LAKE: Fishing is slow-to-fair for most species.
Salmon snagging has slowed down signficantly.
SAN JUAN RIVER: Fishing in the quality waters
is very good on pheasant tails, floating RS2s, scintillas, San
Juan worms and red larvae. Fishing is good in the bait waters
on nightcrawlers, salmon eggs and spinners.

BEAR CANYON LAKE: Fishing is slow for rainbow
trout on powerbait and salmon eggs. .
BILL EVANS LAKE: Fishing is fair-to-good for
rainbow trout on powerbait, nightcrawlers, salmon eggs and various
lures.
BURN LAKE: Fishing is fair for rainbow trout
on powerbait. Fishing for catfish is slow.
CABALLO LAKE: Fishing is slow for all species.
ELEPHANT BUTTE: Fishing is slow for all species.
ESCONDIDA LAKE: Trout fishing is good on powerbait
and salmon eggs.
GLENWOOD POND: Fishing is fair-to-good for rainbow
trout.
LAKE ROBERTS: Fishing is slow-to-fair for rainbow
trout on powerbait, salmon eggs and various lures.
PERCHA DAM: Fishing is slow for all species.
QUEMADO LAKE: Fishing has been slow for rainbow
trout on worms and salmon eggs. Anglers are reminded that tiger
muskie fishing is catch-and-release only.
RIO GRANDE: Anglers are having some success
on walleye, white bass and catfish on worms, jigs and liver near
Hatch. The water level is expected to remain low through the winter.
